Arvin and Amanda (Age 17), Portland Oregon
Several of my friends were playing the game with their dad’s and saying how much fun it was. I kept bugging my mom until she got the game for my dad and I to play. I don’t know which part of the game I like best, pulling on the paper straw, answering the statements, or writing in the journal.

Uncle John and Stacy (Age 15), Sarasota, Florida
My dad passed away two years ago. Since then, my Uncle John has played the role of a surrogate father. He said my dad would have taken me out on dates if he were still alive. When Uncle John got the statement “The best feeling in the world is _____.” He replied, “The best feeling in the world is knowing that your dad would have been proud of you.” I cried when he said that. It made me feel good.

Leon and Latisha (Age 16), San Antonio, Texas
I thought I knew my daughter pretty well until we started playing the Communication Game. Each month it seems like I learn something new about her. In fact, some of the responses she gives to the statements really surprise me.

Jason and Rachel (Age 15), Newark, New Jersey
Thank you, thank you, and thank you! I could feel my daughter slipping away as she got older. There’s no way we would have voluntarily been spending time together if someone hadn’t turned us on to this simple game. Each month it’s a brand new adventure!

Ron and Courtney (Age 19), Valencia, California
At first, when my dad told me about the game, I wasn’t that interested in it. But then as we started playing it, I realized how much fun it was and how much quality time I was spending with him. It was never this easy to talk to him before.

Bruce and Gina (Age 12), San Diego, California
Each time my dad and I go out on a date I feel like a princess. I look forward to the next month because my dad always surprises me with a new restaurant. We’re up to the letter J. I wonder if he’ll take me to Jack in the Box next month?

Russell and Yolanda (Age 27), Wichita Falls, Kansas
I read a newspaper article about the game and wondered if it would work with my 27 year old daughter that I hadn’t spoken to for over a year. I had been looking for a way to reach out to my daughter and this game was the perfect thing to bring us back together again.
